The Customs Officer

Henri Rousseau, considered the precursor of modern art, was a self-taught painter who dedicated himself to the collection of duties in his native France. He began his artistic career at the age of 40, he made representations of the zoo and of the botanical garden of Paris.

Canal 22 transmits a program that narrates his life, work and elements that make up some of his paintings like the outlines, perspective and color.

In addition, the first muse of the painter Pablo Picasso, Fernande Olivier, shares some anecdotes of his social life, his inspiration and Rousseau’s personality.
