Four sessions to explore the emblematic works and representative composers of the first half of the 19th century.
Bel canto flourished and developed in Italy during the baroque period, however, its influence in other schools and styles is remarkable, specially towards the end of the 18th century with French operas and in the Mozart style of adapted bel canto. In Italy, the style led into a true school that had its golden age with the compositions by Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti and the first triumphs of Verdi in the first decades of the 19th century.
