Photography as New Documentary and Report Practice

In the last few years, it has appeared in photography, a documentary work with a strong incursion in the artistic field. It has formed the so-called new generation of photographers on our need to classify and to theorize the history and their work, the new documentary and report practice.

With this premise, the workshop explores different practices of this new documentary photography that assists the development of a body of personal work and consists of 5 points to be addressed:

- Give the photo project a personal signature with an aesthetics of its own, knowledge of the rhetoric of the mean.

- Build a story of an image, create an image of a story. Photographic analytical and narrative approach where the different genres and techniques are mixed. The photographic technique at the service of building a story with content.

- Analyze the contemporary uses of rhetoric in the documentary photography.

- The truth and ethics in the story that questions the use of photography as a means of communication of the truth.
