One of the most extraordinary examples in the Mayan architecture is in the village of Uxmal. The architectural ensemble constitutes a unique manifestation for its composition, constructive and ornamental characteristics, that particularly materialized in the buildings of Las Monjas and of the Gobernador, as well as in the Pyramid of the Adivino. Next toits three neighboring towns, Kabáh, Labná and Sayil, Uxmal formed an admirable social and economic structure of the last Mayan society.
