Museum of the Maya People

REVIEW

The Museum of the Mayan People was reopened in 1994, replacing the old Dzibilchaltún Site Museum. The architectural proposal of the building, built by Fernando González Gortázar, is integrated into the archaeological and ecological context of the site. The museum maintains a close relationship with the community, because, from the beginning of the project, an investigation was made on the impact and links of it with the surrounding populations.
