Francisco Goitia Museum

REVIEW

It was one of the first museums in Zacatecas and one of the main contemporary art precincts in Mexico. It’s housed in a building from 1948 and it usually displays the work of plastic artists from the state.

It houses a permanent collection of the work of art of six masters from Zacatecas, important figures in the 20th century art in Mexico and in the world: Francisco Goitia (1882-1960), Julio Ruelas (1870-1907), Pedro Coronel (1921-1985), José Kuri Breña (1913-2004), Manuel Felguérez (1928) and Rafael Coronel (1931).
