People and Its Strength: The Earthquake in Morelos

As a result of the earthquake occurred on September 19th, 2017, Morelos was the entity with the most serious damages: 259 buildings and more than 1,200 movable and immovable properties with some kind of damage.

These damages affected the cultural heritage, but also the life and customs of the people of Morelos a situation that motivated the compilation of a photographic memory documenting the immediate effects of the natural phenomenon and that integrates the temporary exhibition "People and Their Strength: The Earthquake in Morelos".

The sample is integrated by 73 color images, of different sizes, taken by researchers assigned to INAH Morelos Center and members of the National Ethnography Program of the Indigenous Regions of Mexico (Morelos team).
