One night of 1948, the British John Maynard Keynes visits his friend and enemy, the American Harry Dexter White, who was accused of espionage in favor of the Soviet Union. They have a dinner, reproach each other, and reveal details about how the Bretton Woods negotiations took place right before the end of the war. Which proposal was the best for the world: the American, or the British?
