Permanent Exhibit of Sacred Art

In 1878, when the temple of Loreto was demolished —originally an annex to the Jesuit College— its collection was dispersed in several churches. Many of these objects were recovered and along with other religious valuable pieces that reached Chihuahua created the initial collection of the museum.

Among the works, there are oils by Miguel Cabrera, José de Alcíbar and Antonio de Torres. The museum also has an urn with the remains of blessed father Maldonado, coffins of bishops, images and cult objects, it is worth mentioning the chair that His Holiness, John Paul II, used during his visit to the city in 1990.
