A Californian or Spanish style building designed by architect C. Crombe that was inaugurated on February 27, 1941 with the screening of the film Seven Sinners with Marlene Dietrich and John Wayne, directed by Tay Garnett. It is considered artistic heritage due to the inner stage architecture that resembles formal aspects of the typical architecture of the city. It mainly presents national and international film exhibits, it has been venue for film festivals, French Cinema Tours in Mexico in addition to shows of theater, opera, music, dance, children’s events, festivals, lectures, assemblies and governance reports.
