The archaeological site of Chiapa de Corzo was one of the largest Zoque settlements in Chiapas. It comprises more than one hundred structures, many of them under the floor of current housing. The main area, relatively preserved intact and located southwest of the site, is consisted of a series of platforms on top of which the main constructions were erected.
