It protects part of the collection of Engraved Steles found in the archaeological area that show the development of the writing system during the four phases of the Zapotec occupation of this archaeological site (500 b.C – 800 AD). With a selection of pieces that come mainly from the Special Archaeological Project 1992-1994, the Onsite Museum introduce the visitors to all those import topics of the pre-Hispanic Zapotec world: architecture, chronology, pottery, writing, trade and funerary practices.
