Antonio Vanegas Arroyo. Popular Graphic Arts

In the centennial of the death of the printer and Publisher form Puebla, Antonio Vanegas Arroyo (1850-1917), the most famous of his time due to the publishing of gazettes, corridos (popular songs), comic books, and diverse publications, illustrated by José Guadalupe Posada and by Manuel Manilla before him, which were really successful.

Vanegas’ production is miscellaneous, made up by yellow papers, corridos, collections of verses, political events, gossip, horoscopes, health advices, everyday and supernatural events.
