Encouraged by IBBY México/To Read, the third edition of the Literary Picnic comes to the green areas of the Cenart, a ludic approach to letters in which children and their families will enjoy to read books that will be placed in baskets and we’ll have 15 tablecloths placed on the grass.
The activity is part of the celebrations of the International Children’s Book Day that is celebrated on April 2nd, which is Hans Christian Andersen’s birthday, Danish writer and poet, famous for his children’s tales.
During the day, workshops will be taught in collaboration with the National Coordination for Children's Cultural Development-Alas y Raíces and the General Office of Publications of the Federal Culture Secretariat and Reading Includes All of Us Association. Among the workshops are the Marked Teetotum (related to the Sign Language) and Draw with Texture workshop.
There will also be a Stellar Constellation Workshop; The Matryoshka; Russia Nonstop, Mini-museum and Japan Foundation will participate for the third time with narrations based on Kamishibai technique (“paper theater”), a very popular way to tell stories in the Asian country.
The program will end with a musical show by the National School of Music, with a repertoire of pieces by Russian composers.Visit Web Site
